It all began with an idea.
I came across a beautiful Norwegian Åkle at a secondhand shop in Oslo. Upon returning home, I draped it over my Norrøna jacket, which was on the floor. Filled with inspiration, I headed to my sewing studio and crafted this very first Norrøna Åkle jacket.
And just like that, this journey began.

Some garments deserve a second chance. In this project, we’ve repaired and “pimped” Amundsen pieces using Pendleton wool scraps, giving them a fresh, unique look while extending their lifespan.
A fusion of functionality, heritage, and craftsmanship—because great gear should be worn, repaired, and loved for years to come.
