A lovestory from Leirvassbu
.
Three years ago, I spent Easter at Leirvassbu.
Around that time, the lodge had become part of the Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT), marking a new chapter in its long history. During my stay, I learned that the beautiful wool curtains that had hung in the lodge for decades were about to be replaced. Instead of being discarded, I brought them back with me to the studio.
Now, they return to Leirvassbu — transformed into something new. A piece designed to keep skiers warm as they move through the landscapes of Jotunheimen.
These neck warmers are part of our zero-waste concept, where we use leftover materials from our
redesign projects to ensure that nothing goes to waste. On the inside, we use deadstock cashmere
from Italy, making each piece soft against the skin.
Would you like to bring a piece of Leirvassbu with you on your next journey?
