Kambo x Recouture Sail Anorak

NOK 8,000.00

The Sail Anorak is crafted from recovered boat canopies, rescued from abandoned boat wrecks in the Oslo Fjord by Kambo Marina. After being carefully washed and restored, these maritime materials enter our redesign process — transforming waste into a durable, functional outerwear piece.

The anorak features a large front pocket with a detail in our signature woven åkle, produced locally at Grinakervev in Hadeland. Woven with a cotton warp and lambswool weft, the åkle brings personality and the recognizable Recouture expression rooted in Norwegian craft traditions.

The hood is lined with leftover materials from our studio, ensuring softness, comfort and minimal waste. It closes with a cotton drawstring and YKK zipper, keeping the silhouette clean, practical and timeless.

To reduce waste further, additional components throughout the anorak incorporate leftover materials wherever possible, creating a responsible and resource-efficient construction.

The red sail logo on the pocket was originally found stitched onto the boat canopies we rescued. Recreated using leftover fabric, it stands as a subtle tribute to the material’s past and its journey from wrecked boat to renewed garment.

A functional, responsible and fully Norwegian-made piece — designed for everyday use, shaped by craftsmanship, and grounded in the story of the fjord it came from.

Kambo x Recouture — A Collaboration for Cleaner Oceans

Kambo Marina works to protect the Oslo Fjord by cleaning up abandoned boat wrecks — sunken boat wrecks that threaten both the marine environment and local ecosystems. From these wrecks come the sails and boat canopies that form the foundation of this collection.

Together with Handelens Miljøfond, who supports Recouture in our mission to prevent more plastic from entering the ocean, this collaboration brings two worlds together — maritime cleanup and textile craftsmanship.

Through this partnership, the recovered materials from Kambo are cleaned, restored and transformed in our studio. Combined with our signature woven åkle, they become functional pieces made to last, each carrying a story of rescue, repair and renewal.

All products are designed and made locally at the Recouture Creative Studio — a fully Norwegian value chain from fjord to finished piece.
