Recouture Rewoven Vest Cream

NOK 5,000.00

Piece no 266.

These two-of-a-kind vests are a true celebration of circularity and zero waste — crafted from GU deadstock upholstery fabric and Recouture’s very own woven tapestry, produced locally on Hadeland and brought to life at the Recouture Studio.

We call them «Restevest» — where fashion meets handcraft.

Versatile by nature. Wear it dressed up in the city or layered for a day in the woods. It keeps the wind off your chest, while the Pontetorto cashmere deadstock inside the collar feels as luxurious as only cashmere can.

Every element of the vest is made from resources that already exist: the ties are made from repurposed shoelaces, and the front buttons are sourced from Tinn Per in Hønefoss.

At Recouture, we are driven by a deep love for the past — where every piece tells its own unique story.

  • It's important to note that the charm of these redesigned garments lies in their individuality. As such, minor faults, variations, and seams that might differ from your expectations can naturally occur. These imperfections are the hallmark of a handmade process, showcasing the dedication and craftsmanship poured into each creation.

If you have received a garment that does not meet your expectations, you have the right to return it to us. In the event of any faults with the garment, we are committed to remaking it at no additional cost to you.

Our commitment to sustainability and eco-conscious fashion drives us to provide these one-of-a-kind garments, repurposing materials and reducing waste in the process. We believe that these unique characteristics add character to your wardrobe, telling a story of both innovation and environmental responsibility. We hope this makes it worth it.

After you're done with the item, we'll purchase it back to maintain the cycle.

  • To keep your treasured upcycled garment looking its best, please note that it requires extra care. Please take this into consideration before making a purchase.

Wool textiles have good, natural water-repellent properties, making them easy to clean with a slightly damp cloth. This product must be dry cleaned.

Fresh Air: Allowing your garment to hang outdoors in the fresh air once in a while can breathe new life into it.

Both the åkle and the GU fabric are suitable for ironing.

Store with Love: When not in use, store your garment with love in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
